Bishop’s Update for the Parishes
Welcome to a new feature in your parish bulletins. In order to enhance communications within the diocese, to facilitate ongoing discussion and conversation, and to make sure that parishes feel connected to each other and with the diocese, I hope to share something new each week. This column will be used in a variety of ways: from updates on conversations that are unfolding on the diocesan level to news of arrivals and appointment of priests, from what is new and exciting in some of our parishes to upcoming events, workshops and spiritual days of reflection. This column may also see input from our new Diocesan Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation, Angela Dollomount, who will be starting her ministry with the diocese in August. Angela was born and raised in Corner Brook and, after spending some time away with the military and attending university, returned to Corner Brook to teach. She has recently accepted the position of Diocesan Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation left vacant by Nic Escalona Jr. We wish her all the success and welcome her as a new staff member at our diocesan office.
