Parish Pastoral Council Meeting There will be a Parish Pastoral Council meeting on Wednesday, November 19th at 7:45 pm.
Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Meeting There will be a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree meeting on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 pm
2025/2026 Sunday Missals and 2026 Calendars The 2025/2026 Sunday Missals and 2026 Calendars are available for purchase at the church entrance and at the Parish Office. The prices are $6.00 for missals and $6.00 for Calendars. The exact change would be appreciated.
Mass of Remembrance There will be a Mass of Remembrance on Tuesday, November 18th at 7:00 pm in Remembrance of family members who have passed between November 15th, 2024 and November 18th, 2025.The names of those who have passed during the year will be printed on the program and read aloud at this special Mass. If you have family members who have died within the past year and resided in a different community, you may call the Parish Office at 709-643-2523 to register their names. We invite prayers for all our beloved family and friends who have passed regardless of their religion in life. Cards will be available at the back of the Church for the names of loved ones who have passed previous to November 18th. These cards will be presented at the altar during this Mass. A goodwill offering will be at your personal discretion.
Sacred Heart Parish in Curling Sacred Heart Parish in Curling will be hosting the relics of Jean de Brebeuf and Kateri Tekakwitha on November 19th as part of the North American relics tour of Atlantic Canada. The relics include the skull of St. Jean de Brebeuf, one of the seven Jesuit Martyrs, who died in Upper Canada as missionary to the Indigenous Peoples living near Lake Huron. The other, unspecified relic of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, known as the “Lily of the Mohawks”, belongs to the first Indigenous North American recognized as a Saint. All Parishioners in the Diocese are invited and encouraged to take this opportunity to venerate the two relics. The evening will begin with Mass at 7:00 p.m., followed by a short talk by Fr. O’Brien, S.J., on the importance of these relics and the lives of the North American Saints, and an opportunity to venerate the two relics by those assembled.
St. Vincent Church St. Vincent Church in Point au Mal will be hosting an Afternoon tea, Bake and Craft sale on Sunday, December 23rd at 2:00 pm. Admission: $10.00 for adults / children under 12 - $5.00.
